The site’s public beta phase went live in November and full launch was on December 6th 2016. It’s exciting to see it already being recognised for excellence by the industry. The technical features of this project place NUFC ahead of every other sports club in terms of being a modern digital media publisher. We also think it's one of the best looking club websites (well, we would say that).
The Stadion team have exceptional knowledge of what supporters want from their club’s digital presence. Their highly adaptable football-specific platform and clear understanding of what would really appeal to our fans, has made working with them an incredibly rewarding experience.
Often when we work with football or sports clubs we find we have to recommend many improvements to their existing website, from better social network integration to responsive layouts and much more in-between; Stadion delivers almost all of these features out of the box, which frees-up resource to focus on more advanced features and customisation.
The new site has seen significant improvements in terms of traffic, with double the number of visitors than the previous site had in a like-for-like period.
The site is exceptionally fast. Average page load times are around 85 MS. Average publishing time is less.

Working with AFC Bournemouth and Stadion on the club’s new digital platform has been incredibly rewarding. Combining a new website with a brand new data management infrastructure gives the club an amazing foundation to support their fans and partners over the coming seasons.
The new site was shaped by the fans, for the fans. A series of workshops with supporter groups allowed us to get to the heart of what Cherries fans truly want, with accessibility, relevance and simplicity being the cornerstones of the new site.
Increasing commercial capabilities was a key driver for the club, which combined with our key principle of ‘sponsorship not advertising’, led to a joining on minds the like of which hasn’t been seen since Saint & Greavsie. A suite of promotional modules, sponsor-able components and a system of content cross-fertilisation gives AFC Bournemouth’s team the tools they need to increase commercial activities and attract new partners.
